Lawsuits push multi-jurisdictional licensing

State BordersDespite some recent setbacks, the National Associations for the Advancement of Multijurisdiction Practice, an advocacy organization for licensees seeking to lower barriers for licensing reciprocity, continues to advance its agenda through court challenges, writes David Hudson, Jr., in the ABA Journal.  In two recent cases, the NAAMJP challenged current federal district court admissions rules on the grounds that they violated the First Amendment’s guarantees of freedom of speech, assembly, and petition, but both cases were unsuccessful, and nothing indicates that the situation will change anytime soon.
