Class certification denied for patients suing over licensing of foreign doctor
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, in a September 24 ruling, overturned a decision by a district court to certify class plaintiff status for a group of patients suing the Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) for what they claim was a failure of the Commission to properly vet a certified doctor who later engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior.
